PC builder says he's the manufacturer.........is this true?

I was worried how to know the parts won't come from newegg - how do you know they came right from the factory.

Solution
It is an incredibly grey area when you're dealing with small independent shops & system builders.

Warranty needs to be discussed with the shop (this Cyberdyne place) itself.

There used to be a little shop near me that did the same , they would spec a PC to your requirements & order the parts wholesale.
They guaranteed the system as a whole for 1 year ,you could pay extra for an extended full service/replacement & repair 3 year warranty.
They also supplied an itemised invoice for all parts used in the PC so out of the actual shop warranty you could RMA stuff yourself - you need this as an option IMO as manufacturers are incredibly sketchy on warranty transferral especially on GPU, motherboard & psu's nowadays.

When your dealing with...

maxalge

Champion
Ambassador

the only pc builders that manufacture their own parts are OEM's like dell.

explain your situation better

places like that order parts and build a completed pc

they do not make the parts

I recommend the model 101

I second that, much better than the earlier rubber models

Why would he say that than...................it's when I asked him "worried how to know the parts won't come from newegg - how do you know they came right from the factory.".

model 101???? wha?

^ terminator reference mate ;-) Google it.

Why are you worried where the parts are from ??
If you buy from a builder he should supply a decent warranty himself or give you invoice / receipts for all components.

If he's business registered then warranties can be transferred to you for GPU,PSU etc & stuff which has 3-5 year warranties.
He would be classed as a seller not a manufacturer.

I already have a 5000.

I am also getting the Skylake processor AND have the full human AI blueprint!

Other builders said NO newegg and, i agree, onlyyyy right from the vendors.

How could he give me a whole-pc warranty when the parts only come with warranties?

Should I ask him why he said he's a manufacturer? How could he lie to me...Oh wait I get it

The process of designing a computer from a group of parts and then building is in fact manufacturing. It does not matter where the parts came from.
The only thing you should be interested in is that quality parts are used, and the warranty.

When your dealing with big firms like PC specialist & cyberpower (& I'm not recommending you do) you get a 3 year rtb warranty as standard so the worry is non existant regarding where the parts have actually come from.
& you need that 3 year warranty because they generally buse crappy quality components in 90% of their prebuilds.

If I was unable to build myself then I would personally buy all the parts myself & pay a shop or individual to put it together for me for a set price.
