Good wifi adapter cards for gaming

So I have just recently gone to college and now living in my dorm. the dorms do not provide a wired Internet connection so we only have wifi. just to get by I bought a cheap linsky USB wifi adapter and it is trash for gaming. my question is what would be a good wifi adapter card I can put in my pc to get a nice steady connection for when I am gaming?

Sorry to give you an unpleasant answer, but in such a high density area as a dorm there is likely no wireless adapter that will game well.

You are competing with many other users of the limited bandwidth, which is a problem for latency sensitive stuff like gaming.

The only real answer in a wireless only environment of such high density would be to try the 4G on your phone using it as a hotspot. May or may not help and of course will use bandwidth that could go beyond your plan limits.
