I'm about 2 run IETU & I wanted 2 know if I should close other Back Round programs??

So that includes every single background program.
After looking through the task manager I couldn't any programs that use a lot CPU or memory.
I'll double check & return.

What would you consider "overboard".
I closed some background programs but this was more of a test,
Anyway, The test was fine.

It's common practice for any benchmarking or test suites to close background processes. If not it could produce inconsistent results, such as one test running with nothing else going on, one running while the drive is indexing, another running while the antivirus begins a background scan etc etc. The whole point behind testing especially when it comes to benchmarking is to establish a reliable baseline which can be reproduced.

I did the whole testing like you mentioned with RealBench ( I love RealBench ) including the Antivirus, Defragging ,watching a Youtube etc...
