So I was finally going to order my Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 550w because I don't have so many choices, I see that CM discontinued it :( so help me pick one, I can pick one from here;

Everyone keeps those PSUs, ugly. So I just bought MSI RX 470 and here are other specs

i3 4160
Asus H97m e
Seagate 1tb
corsair 100r window
corsair 4gbx2

I don't wanna pay more than $100 > nearly 10000 PKR. How are CX supplies? And Corsair VS or TT SE ones?

Note: I suffer from power outages and voltage fluctuations, also planning to buy a Voltage Regulation (NOT UPS)

Variety is a problem here sir, and I'm planning on the CS " M " version, which is newer and better than older CS?

And I prefer CSM over CXM, how is that?

If you can get an EVGA Supernova 550 G2, thats what I would get. Corsair PSU's are all crap now except the 1500W and 1200W and almost nobody actually needs a 1500W/1200W PSU... Unless you are using 3-way SLI or something like that you don't need anywhere near 1200W.

Corsair has stopped making their AXi series (except the two mentioned above) which had many power cycling problems causing them to randomly turn off a lot, and the new HXi series that are a big improvement (box-wise) have really sh*tty cabling. So I am going to EVGA for my future PSU needs.

The particular Supernova I mentioned is 80+ Gold, and costs about $90 US. Hands down best GPU in the under 1200W category though, at least for Q4 2016.

My choices are so limited, we don't have no Seasonic, Antec, be quiet, EVGA supplies. And people who import them pay taxes, resulting in a $100 PSU being sold for at least $170.

And RM starts from 750, no 650-550, any decent PSU that is reliable is being sold for $150 least 750 watts.

I personally will not use Corsair PSUs because of the sh*tty cabling on the new models and the lack of features on the RMx series, but if you have to go budget in your country I would go with a Corsair SF. If you absolutely have to get a CX I would, but they are considered budget PSU's... you get what you pay for. If you can get an XFX thats a tier 2 PSU that is pretty good and pretty cheap. It is highly unfortunate you can't get an EVGA Supernova, those are the most reliable PSU's right now.

Personally I would do what I could and save up, an EVGA Supernova 550 G2 would have you set, but if you really need it I find Corsair to be incredibly reliable if you get a good one... but their QC is not comforting to me, I hear too many horror stories of them crapping out after very short periods of time, or having cycling issues, but if you get a good one its going to run great, I have an almost 4 year old AX750 and it hasn't had a single issue ever. But no way I would be caught dead with an HXi in my rig, and I don't want to risk getting a crappy AXi since they no longer make them.
