I am currently going through the topic Memory Allocation to a process and was curries if somebody could answer the question. Are we actually allocating the memory to the process's working set of pages, or are we mapping the process to a range of addresses in virtual memory?

It is a famous quote from former New York Mayor Ed Koch that is my signature.

If you don't understand it, give it some thought. You can explain things to others in great detail but it is not possible to force them to understand what you are saying.

My answer to your question was: homework? In other words is this a homework assignment?
