I'm looking to build a computer for my son and I. I have built before in the past so it's nothing new for me. I'm wanting to show my son how to do it as he has shown great interest recently in all things gaming or tech related.

I'd like to have Red and White color scheme with hints of Silver and Black, as black usually can't be avoided lol. My budget is around 1500 but I can go as high as 1800 if needed to get the perfect build.

I have no preference on vendor so long as they are reputable (ie Amazon, Newegg, B&H, NCIX, etc)

I reside in the central US but don't mind buying from overseas sellers.

Here's what I have so far.

I would prefer an Asus motherboard but if you can find another brand that would look better with the scheme, by all means share.

I prefer Intel and Nvidia components over AMD.

The only non negotiable parts of this build is the case and the 1070. I love the silver look and tempered glass of the Enthoo ATX. The ASUS Strix 1070 can be changed so long as it is a 1070. Everything else is free game. Thanks guys.

The Gigabyte Gaming 7 was my alternative choice for the mobo. I do like the new TridentZ line of RAM. Perhaps the black and white would look better.

I had looked at the Galax HOF 1070 and while it is a very sexy card, I think it may be too much white. But I do love the white and silver of that card. Do you think it'd be too much for this scheme? It does have a black label with RGB lighting where the "Hall of Fame" letters are.

I think the HOF would look good with a red and white build
