learning games kids

hello people i was just wondering if there are any free games out there for kids. Reason being is that i want my kids to get into pc gaming but have them start out like i did as a kid i remember going to the library just so i can play put put and other games like that. and from that point thats how i was made into a gamer, can anybody please help or give me advise.

They might like League of Legends, DoTA 2, Team Fortress 2 on Steam. Starcraft, Hearthstone and World of Warcraft can all be downloaded for free on Battle.net. They might not be "learning games", but they aren't too violent and they involve strategy and socializing. If you wait for Steam sales, you can get some really good games for up to 75% off.

no i was thinking something more like abc mouse type of thing but i dont want to pay 8 dollars a mounth for that. but thanks for those sugestions. there 2 and 5 years old.

You can find some simple flash player games that could be played in browser for free on sites like e.g. http://www.kongregate.com/ http://www.miniclip.com/games/en/
I also liked to play http://www.clubpenguin.com/ as a child
