so while I'm playing any game with a ps4 controller, (wired and wireless) the frame rate drops to under 20fps which makes the game unplayable . the only way to maintain a high frame rate is to move the mouse or press a key on my keyboard every 20-30 seconds.
example: I'm playing project cars and the game is running 60fps no problem. all of a sudden the fps drops to about 10fps and will only go back up to 60fps when i move my mouse or press a key.
i thought it was the controller at first but i have tried with multiple controllers including a wired x-box 360 controller. but it makes no difference which controller i use. has been bugging me for some time now and haven't found a solution. have checked all my hardware and have even used different usb ports as suggested by others but still won't solve my issue.
