Which graphics card to upgrade into from an r9 270x toxic?

Solution
You're not a million miles off 860k performance with your current apu.

A 470 is honestly a viable buy IMO, there is absolutely no point upgrading that APU to another fm2+ socket chip , performance gains would be minimal.

People have pushed 4.4ghz on that chip easily with the igp disabled , you're then in 880k territory .

Is your CPU an optimal pairing with a 470 ?? No probably not , it'll still do an acceptable job though.

You may get drops to mid 40s on mainstream AAA titles but you'll be able to up graphics settings significantly.

you are right at the limit of what that system can handle

anything better would be bottlenecked

if you want to jump up the gpu tier, you are going to need a complete system rebuild

While I agree there's going to be limitations here I'd still have no qualms about dropping an RX 470 in there.
While you're not going to see huge fps with that combo you're certainly going to be able to substantially up graphics settings without losing anything framerate wise.
That 270x must be struggling on newer titles badly with anything near medium settings??

Sad to hear it . But even if I upgrade my processor to Godaveri APU's like A10-7870k, would it still bottleneck RX470? Or I could crossfire another 270x? I feel like I dont have any options for upgradability. :(

I've had good luck upgrading to a RX480 with basically the same CPU that you have. It's like having a new PC.

My CPU is a FX770K which is like yours except without integrated HD graphics.

Find the best deal on a RX470 or RX480 and have some fun.
