ok so i am a league of legends player and 2 weeks ago i had a sudden drop in frame rate. a huge one. i play on high-medium quality with 70-80 fps usually. then suddenly one day BOOM it went down to1-10. i had to lower the graphics to a minum to get 40 fps. fps in un capped and checked a lot of things. worst thing is that its happening in all my games.
the cpu, while this problem is happenig, is normal. i mean there are no sings of problems to be more presice.
and from time to time, i get constant cpu cap that makes my pc lag. it freezes. this problem didnt happen to me in the past few months but i said it may be related and added it in. i think that that problem is kinda gone now though.

i have a gtx 850 i think, intel core i7, windows 10 (wich i hate and blame for all these problems, lol)
hp PC. if you need anymore specification tell me i'l tell you

thanks in advance :)

Solution
First check your temps while playing. If they are too high, it´s time to take a look inside.
Just unscrew one side of your case and open it. No harm there. Take a look inside and see if the fans have dust while turned off and if they are spinning nicely while gaming. If not you can clean it with a can of presurised air (or a low power vacuum cleaner although the can is much more efficient) .
It should be obvious that your computer must be turned off to do that. It´s quick, painless and does no damage to your computer.
Preferably do that outside, because there will be a lot of dust flying.. :p

ok so the cpu capping is gone. The problems is that when i play with descent graphics my frame rate is extremly low and have to get the lowest settigns possible to get 40 fps max. wich is weird because before i could have descent grphics settigns and still get 60-80 fps
and this is on a lot of my games not just league of legends. so i dont think a new update would be the problem

sounds like cpu is thermal throttling

monitor temps while you play
