CS:GO needs CPU or GPU?

What would give more and more stable fps in this game? I've read a lot in internet that CS:GO relys on cpu much more than gpu, so I'm lost.

Solution
Not knowing your cpu or gpu, here are some tests you can do:

) Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

b) Limit your cpu, either by reducing the OC, or, in windows power management, limit the maximum cpu% to something like 70%.
Go to control panel/power options/change plan settings/change advanced power settings/processor power management/maximum processor state/
This will simulate what a lack of cpu power will do.
Conversely what a 30% improvement in core speed might do.

CSGO, and the source engine in general, is more cpu intensive than other games. That being said however the gpu is till used much more than the cpu, and almost allways you will see much bigger improvements if you upgrade your gpu, unless you cpu is extremely low powered.

really depends on your setting.
if you don't max all settings (as you normally don't in csgo) the cpu is the most important thing.

that being said, if you're currently running an i5 with integrated graphics, the GPU will be the best upgrade
if you're running a Phentom II x4 with an R9 card, your CPU needs an upgrade

Limiting the cpu drastically lowered fps, i normally have 50-60 then when i went 70% cpu usage i got around 30.
About the res, in 1920*1080 i get a bit less fps than 1360*768, like 10 fps or even less.
For what i understood from what u said seems like i need a better... gpu? im not sure lol, it seems to me like the cpu is getting all the work cause when i limit it the fps drops a lot.

Your tests tell me that your are cpu limited.
In particular single thread limited.
What is your cpu and motherboard?
If you currently have a amd processor, there is no real good upgrade available to you.

in fact i have an amd apu a4 4000, mother asrock fm2a55-vg3+, 4gb ram and a geforce 9800gt 1gb (cause the integrated graphs of apu are 2 unstable). Yes, its an old pc ikr lol, ty for the advice.

Your A4-4000 has a passmark rating of 1798 and a single thread rating of 1123.
The single thread rating is most important for most games, and I think for CSGO.
By comparison, one of the cheapest $64 skylake G4400 processors has a passmark rating of 3707 and a single thread rating of 1869.
You would need a lga1151 motherboard, starting at $50, and likely 8gb of DDR4 ram costing $35.
G4400 is not a long term processor, but the lga1151 motherboard can accommodate any skylake processor up to the $335 i7-6700K
