I want to use my PC for gaming..and sometimes rendering some siteplan..and i wont overclock my pc

I7 6700
Asus z170 pro gaming / MSI z170 m5
Vengeance Pc19200 2x4gb ddr4
(515.65$)
Or

I7 6700
Asus H170 pro gaming
G skill ripjaws v pc21000 2x8gb ddr4
(487.65$)

The different are 28$ from pcpartpicker.com

I hv read some information, if only play games 8gb of ram are more then enough..is that true ? So i think to push the ram budget to get the Z series of mobo

Solution
The H170 is is a good pick for a non-K CPU, it only support up to 2133 DRAM so no need to go higher. I'd go 16GB, more and more games and apps are using more DRAM

8GB is still enough, most games don't demand more than 8gb, unless you use programs like photoshop or Video editing programs 16 gb would become intresting in my opinion. But for games these days getting 16gb for like 1-2 fps extra is not worth it. I'd go for the MOBO, i was wondering this for a long time too, 8GB is absolutely fine, no performance loss compared to 16.

Well we are really right on the cusp of some games requiring more than 8gb. In the battlefield 1 beta I had about 7.2gb of my 8gb of ram in use which is cutting it quite close. I would say as of right now no you don't need more than 8gb for gaming, but that may change real soon. In my opinion 16gb is worth it, it may also help with your rendering.

If you are not planning to overclock, I don't see a need to get a z170 motherboard. Get a h170 one and get 16GB 2133 RAM. You won't see any difference in gaming, but it would be more future proof. Also you will be able to "play" with more virtual machines, photo and video editing, etc.
But also, nowadays 8GB is enough, you could add more in the future.
