Hey folks,
Not sure this is the right forum to post this. I'm trying to help out a very non-technically-savvy friend. She has a Toshiba Satellite e45t-a. It seems that the keyboard doesn't work at all. Because this device has the tabletty kinda thing going on, you can still use the system by using the Windows 8 "soft keyboard". However, the keyboard is totally non-responsive. The power button works, obviously. The keyboard also works in the BIOS, just not in the OS.
I don't know a ton about laptops or hardware, but I know enough to troubleshoot with some guidance.
Any suggestions on steps I could take to look into this? (I have the device with me.)
