Has strange graphics artifacts when I loaded a League match, gone with setting change and never back. Should I still worry?

Hi guys! I'm running a pretty fresh build of an MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G, EVGA SuperNOVA 650w p2, i7-6700k CPU with AsRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming k6. I reinstalled an SSD from one SATA port into another though I had to take my gpu out to get to the cable to switch it then reinstall gpu. I've had this build long enough to have played Leagur at least once with no issues before but this time when I loaded up a league match, I had big white/colorful squares next to spawn with a big ring of color right next to me. When I changed settings up to max they went away and have never returned. My drivers are all up to date and I've played WoW on max with no issues and ran FurMark without seeing corruption and getting a normal benchmark score.

Is it safe to chock this up as a very coincidental glitch from the game? And I don't know much about artifacts but would they just go away with a setting change like that, or be very overtly there if present?
I appreciate any and all help!

Okay just making sure ^^; made me worry cause nobody else had had a software graphic glitch like that I could find on their tech support forums which is part of the reason I was scared it was just me, haha.
