Can a AMD A10-7860K apu work in hybrid crossfire with a Radeon RX 480? If not, should I go with a gtx1060 instead? I got the apu a while back because I didn't have enough money for a discrete GPU at the time. I can afford a decent GPU now. Just wondering what would be more worth it.

No you cannot crossfire a 480(or any 4xx or 3xx) with your A10.
Your A10 really isn't strong enough for a video card as powerful as the 480/1060. Performance would be good, but you would not get 100% from either video card.

Jacob you should check out pcpartpicker.com, not only will it tell you if there's any known Incompatibilities, it also tells you some of the best prices for the hardware your after and where to get them.
As long as you have the right names and models it should give you an idea.
