Just upgraded my computer to an i5 6600k, meaning I had to get new mobo, RAM and of course the CPU, but ever since i upgraded, from time to time when I exit a game, the screen goes black and the monitors just goes idle as if there is no input, however the computer is still running and the only way to fix is if I hard reset the computer. It only black screens after a while in game, as when I start a game and close it, it does not black screen. I have unplugged the GPU and pushed it back in, ensuring it is input correctly, no faulty connections to the monitor and i have updated drivers to newest version.

Specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K (Stock)
RAM: HyperX FURY Black Series 8GB
MoBo: Asus B150M-C Motherboard
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (Stock)

Solution
Found out the Heatsink on the CPU wasn't installed fully so it was slightly lifted one side, however it never gave a temperature warning until now for the CPU. Thanks for the help anyway.

Yes I've tried that too, but still does it for some reason, no-one else has a problem similar to mine, as Windowed mode does not fix it as it does for others

Problem is, it only seems to be happening on intensive games such as H1Z1: KotK, The Forest. It doesn't happen on games like Fallout or CSGO. The black screen also occurs when loading into games on where there would be loading screens.

I've tried all I can really in terms of taking the components out and changing the positions but still no luck, I'll have to take it to the shop probably to get it checked out as I don't think its a hardware problem
