Having read a bunch about this here, I thought I might find the answer.
Either I missed something, or my issue(s) are different.
Help!

More about my Asus Max.
I just changed the CPU from a working i5 4690K, to an i7 4770K.
It had been sitting around while I finished a different PC, and I swapped out RAM, and replaced it with original.
Puzzled.

Yes.
Both the CMOS, and jumper.
Removed RAM, no beep.
Since I posted I replaced the i5, and had similar results. I know the board is good, I was using it a few days ago when swapping video cards.

I read about a list of items to check for this kind of thing.
Where would I find it?
Seems I've covered everything .. but ...

I have since found the checklist, and it's very good information.
Short of "Bread boarding" my motherboard, I've done everything listed.
Even applied a different PSU, with the same results.
It powers on -
LEDs on the motherboard
CPU Cooler lights up, and fan spins up.
Front panel switches are functional, and LEDs there are lit as well.
1 stick of RAM = No beep(s)
No stick of RAM = No beep(s)
I simply wanted to upgrade from an i5 4690K to an i7 4770K .. jeeez.
I replaced the i5 which worked well, and the above is still happening - or not.

K.

Ah Ha!
As simple as - the (spring loaded) cooling head on the CPU was a bit too tight.
One of the items I found to check, and cannot remember just where .. Good grief!
Let's hope this helps someone .. It sure had me thinkin' "Knuckle Head".
Thank you folks!
