Would a single EVGA Geforce GTX 980ti FTW ACX 2.0 be enough for 1440p triple monitor gaming?

Hello!

I currently have two of the spectacular Acer G277HU 27 inch WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution monitors paired with a single EVGA NVidia GeForce GTX 980ti FTW ACX 2.0 and use one a single monitor for gaming and the other for thing such as YouTube and Twitch whilst I game. However, I recently planned on adding a third Acer G277HU to my setup to have a go at triple monitor gaming. Even with my incredible GPU, I'm not sure whether it would be enough for triple monitor gaming at 1440p Mid settings, and so I ask, would anybody know ether it is good enough? I haven't a clue when it comes to which resolution it would run at though.

My rig currently which I plan to use with the triple monitors:

CPU: Intel i7 4790 @ 3.60ghz
GPU: EVGA NVidia GeForce GTX 980ti FTW ACX 2.0 (Stock clock speeds)
RAM: 16gb of Corsair Vengeance RAM (Specific details unknown of)
Storage: 3TB Western Digital BLUE Hardrive

It depends on what games you are going to be playing but if you are going to be playing recent titles I'd unfortunately doubt you will be happy with the results. If possible perhaps you can sell your 980ti for a quick buck and upgrade to a 1080

Hello again! Thank you hugely for your support on this matter.

I recently purchased my GPU after I found it for a bargain price at a CeX store. However, I have no were near the amount of money needed to purchase a 1080 both new or 2 hand. Even if I were to sell my 980ti I still wouldn't be close to the amount needed for a 1080 and I personally don't think it's worth purchasing as I would much rather purchase a another 980ti and run it in an SLI configuration with the one I already have, as well as change the motherboard to support multiple GPUs to be able to run multi monitors smoothly. The games I plan on using the multiple monitor with would most likely be Tom Clancy's The Division, Battlefield 4 (As well as Battlefield 1 when it is out), Titanfall 2 and maybe Just Cause 3 and a few basic games like Minecraft (Yes I know it's a stupid idea though I just wish to try it!)

Thank you once again for your support on this matter any hows!

No worries I don't hate on SLI. If you get a 2nd 980ti you will be able to play 4k just fine. You may have to turn down some eye candy here and there but for the most part you'll be set. And also, the maxwell cards from my experience SLI much smoother than the pascal currently are... Less headaches.
