I have a disk MICROSOFT OFFICE 2010 PROFESSIONAL and I want to continue using. But I have TOSHIBA Chrome Computer that runs GOOGLE is it possible to install it with an external hard drive. I also have other software I'd like to continue using.

No, you can't install and run the regular Office 2010 on a Chromebook. Whole different operating system.

Other software? If it was written for Windows, you can't use that either.
