I tried to respond to a thread but couldn't see how. The thread link is below.

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2616249/asus-sabertooth-booting-green-light.html

Did anyone ever solve this problem? I have done as the others on the thread have suggested, but still get a green light with no ability to power on. Is it the power supply or the motherboard that needs replacing? I just don't want to spend money replacing the wrong thing.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

That thread has a green response letting you know it was the solution and if you read thru the thread you can see where the OP is walked thru manually turning on the PSU. I assume that it was not able to turn on and hence the best solution of 'Test the PSU' was selected.

If your PSU similarly will not turn on then yes it needs replacing but keep in mind that it does not mean the rest of the system is still good. Cheap PSU's have an uncanny ability of killing other things when they die and we have no idea of what you have.
