I bought refillable cartridges and ink for my old Epson printer which died. Can I use the ink in the new Epson cartridges which is a different model? For example is the cyan ink the same in every cartridge of every model printer?

Solution
No, they're not universal, even across a single manufacturer.
Particle size, actual color, etc, etc.

Guess you have some research to do.

Research both priter's cartriges. If they use teh same granulation, you are golden.

Do the coplors actually differ?
Regardless, assuming teh same granulation, i see no harm in trying.

Different printer engines might mix 'red' and 'cyan' slightly differently, to produce the same shade of 'purple' that ends up on the paper.
Print engine for Printer A is expecting a specific formulation of Red, whereas the print engine for Printer B is expecting a slightly different 'Red'.

But yeah, it's worth a try. Worst that can happen is a totally borked up printhead...:kaola:

I don't think your new Epson printer will work on the old printer model but I would suggest you check with your cartridge's compatible list before you open to install into your printer. This is because every printer cartridge got it own chip record for fitting their compatible printer models. I would suggest you buy a new Epson printer or check your new Epson printer ink cartridge's compatible model list here http://cheapinks.com.au/cheap-printer-inks/Cheap-Printer-Inkjet-Cartridges/Cheap-Epson-Ink-Cartridges-online. Hope this can help. Cheers!
