Hey everyone, random phone related question here.
I'm looking at upgrading my old iPhone 5 to one of the Xiomi phones as I don't particularly like Apple (got the iPhone 5 super cheap from a friend) but not sure which is worth the money.
Basically the candidates are (in order of price):
Xiomi Redmi Note 4: £122 Helio X20 CPU (2.1 GHz, 10 core processor) and Mali T880 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16 GB ROM
Xiomi Mi Max: £144 Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU (1.8 GHz, 6-core processor) and Adreno 510 GPU, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM
Xiomi Mi Max(?): £170 Same CPU and GPU as above but 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM
I've heard the Snapdragon 650 and Helio X20 CPU's perform very similarly but the GPU's that come with them differ in that the Adreno is generally better as it's easier for developers to code for.
Anyone have experience with either of these phones and can weigh in if it's worth the step up in cost for the better GPU of the Mi Max and again for the extra RAM (ROM is just bonus really as I've coped so far with 12 GB just fine)? Would very much appreciate it
