I have recently bought evga's gtx 1080 FTW gpu and tried to install it on my own to my pc. However I have came to the problem that I could not connect my PSU (cs550m Corsair) cables to this GPU because it only has one 8 pin slot. My psu has a 8 pin connection witch splits into two 6+2 pins. I can connect one 8 pin slot on card due to provided adapter. So only one 6 pin slot on the psu is left and I could try to use 6 pin to 8 pin adapter but I don't think its a good idea? (will it provide enough power to the gpu?). What you think guys should I just return the card to retailer and take supercloked evga gtx 1080 with single 8 pin slot. Or should I buy new psu with two 8 pin slots for GPU? Thanks in advance for your help I'm kinda noob at this. Its my first time I am trying to upgrade my gpu card (old evga gtx 970). Kinda messed up with these cables :D
