you take shaft A and slip it into Slot B. Make sure you have applied enough lube for this operation. Do not get the backhole, it is highly NOT recommended unless you are prepared for the consequences.

LOL

okay.. seriously.... what are you working with? HDMI wire? (generally black USB looking wire), DVI wire (white plug) or oldschool Blue plug?

So the wire that plugs my monitor to my Motherboard is a DVI. That's the only cord I have, but I can easily order another one

yes both have DVI... also from what you said earlier... you do NOT plug it to your motherboard, you plug it to your gtx 960 graphics card.

Another thing, my asus monitor also had extra settings for input, you have to select DVI or HDMI depending on which cable you were running (it is an older monitor though) so just keep that in mind (buttons on mine were on bottom of screen)

you should have only ONE cable going from your graphics card (located towards the bottom of your computer, on the back of the computer. It could be HDMI or DVI whichever cable you have. the HDMI would be recommended. (do not plug into your motherboard, that's where the USBs are and Internet port is)

Didn't you say you already have a DVI cable?

You don't need a second one.
