New build for $1000 decent?

So look to build a PC here's the parts I'm looking at currently. Was wondering about each part. Specifically the mobo than anything else.

Windows 10 pro
Corsair Carbide 500r Arctic White
Corsair CX 750 PSU
Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB
Corsair Vengeance LP 2x4GB
Asus Strix R9 390x or Asus Strix 980ti 6gb Also possibly (only if truly needed) a gtx 1070 FE
Intel Core i5-4690k
MSI Z97 PC Mate
120GB SSD Intel 530 series
Western Digital 1TB HDD

Yeah it'll be single for time being until I save for another 980ti or 1070. I hear EVGA is very good quality on PSU. I'll go with them most likely.

I've never built a system before now so making sure everything in check before I just blow all this 1000. Which is quite a bit for me.
