G41 Chipset is likely limited to 8GB as Titan said. Just curious what CPU you have in there? I have a couple of Core 2 Quad systems. You might look into getting a Xeon for it. You might find a good quad core for it on EBay for cheap these days. Even though it doesn't list it on the CPU compatibility list it should work. I have a system with an X3360.
