Hi all,

I was really confused by which cables I should use for getting 144hz and being able to
connect my earbuds through monitor. :(

The monitor I bought was BenQ ZOWIE XL2430.
It looks like HDMI won't give me the 144hz.
And DVI-D won't pass audio. (Or should I buy an 3.5 jack male to jack male to use dvi-d + sound)
Or will using the displayport be the solution to this all?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys :)

Page 16 of the manual SinxarKnights linked, yeah just either an HDMI or DisplayPort cable as it's refering to only those two connected to the monitor will carry audio and not DVI. No additional cables needed, just select audio source to DisplayPort in the monitor menu if it doesn't auto detect which it should, but if not, you'll know.

Ahh okai, I already got confused. DisplayPort alone will do it. The part about the audio cable was for when not using DP/HDMI. Okai thanks I will try it!

Edited: Oh I just read your comment SinxarKnights(the timing). Nevermind what I said, okai I will keep it in mind, thanks both of you!
