Hello there,

the EVGA GTX 1060 SC (6GB VRAM) and Gainward GTX 1060 Phoenix Golden Sample (6GB VRAM) are, at least I think so, extremly similar.
Even in Price, the difference is about 8€ on mindfactory.de (German online retailer), so thats not our concern here. So here we go:

EVGA:
Core Clock: 1607 MHz
Boost Clock: 1835 MHz
Memory Clock: 8008MHz GDDR5

Gainward:
Core Clock:1620MHz
Boost Clock: 2847
Memory Clock: Kind of confusing. Retailer says 8000MHz GDDR5,
Manufacturer says 4000Mhz DDR 8G.

I don't even know what DDR 8G is (sorry for not knowing)

I would like to get some better understanding of that and of course, wich GPU is better.

Thanks in advance,

The tiny differences will make exactly that, a tiny difference. 30 seconds in MSI afterburner (or other OC tool) will give you a much higher overclock.

The memory speed will be pretty much the same, its just different interpretation. As its DDR (double data rate), some show it as the actual clock (4000) some the effective clock (8000).

They are both exactly the same GPU. Just different cooler, and slightly different clock speeds. Performance difference will be negligible.

Yeah, I know that they are practically the same, but can you give me some more insight on wether the Llttle difference in core and boost clock is more important than the memory speed.
