Hello for a few months I'm having problems with my current graphics (GTX 660). I don't know how to name it but it seems that it's "overclocked itself" (before that I was using an ASUS OC software called GPU Tweak or something like that). It's running at 1155MHz while playing games, it should be running at 1020MHz. It's running great for 1 hour then fps lowers and after few minutes my whole PC is stuttering (sound is freezing etc.), the only way to solve it is rebooting my PC. Do you have any solutions for that? (I'm lowering my clocks by MSI Afterburner and now it's running at 1045MHz and it's stable)

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz
MOBO: MSI B85-G43
PSU: SilentiumPC Enduro FM1 550W 80PLUS GOLD
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x8GB 1600MHz CL9

It has the same temperatures at 1155MHz and 1045MHz. When I'm lowering the clock I can play whole day and nothing happens. When my clock isn't lowered it's at 1155MHz and causes PC freezes and FPS drops after an hour of gameplay

It's obviously not stable at those clocks then and needs to be dialed back.

So it might not be the gpu, but the cpu that is overheating?

No it's unstable at those higher clocks.

I still think a a freezing sound and lower fps (not black screen or stripes or somthing) points to the cpu.

I don't think that it's CPU issue, because when I'm lowering clocks with MSI Afterburner everything runs perfectly without a single problem.

No it isn't a CPU problem it's just when running the GPU at those clocks it's unstable.
