Overclocking Amd A8-6600K APU?

I overclocked it with Catalyst Control Center, but due to my surprise it was laggier when I played with it. Any idea on what program I should use and if I should even overclock it at all?

Try to overclock your RAM, it worked for me. Right now I have DDR3 at 1866MHz. And it worked. Also side note I had UMA Frame Buffer size to 2G, Integrated Graphics to force.
