Hello,

I'm having trouble with choosing motherboard. I'm trying to choose between Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P and Asus z170-A. I just can't find anywhere does Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P support 3-pin dc fan control. I'm going to have three 3-pin fans in my case and I would like to be able to control them via software.

I know that Asus z170-A would be able to do that (at least that's what written in specifications...), but Gigabyte is a bit cheaper so that would be better for me.

So my question is: Would I be able to control my 3-pin fans' speed via software with Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P? Or if not is there any other z170 motherboards with 3-pin fan control that are cheaper than Asus z170-A? Or should I just go with Asus z170-A?

Thanks!

Aaro

I'm presently running GA-B150M-D3H. It supports 3 or 4 pin fans. The case I bought came with two 3 pin fans and works just fine. I installed the Gigabyte App Center software and it controls the fan profiles. There's also fan speed control in the Bios.
