Hello,
I have a Lenovo Helix 2-in-1 running windows 8.1 for a corporate device trying to run testing equipment. The equipment connects via USB and works just fine on windows 7 and windows 10 machines, but I'm getting an error on the windows 8.1 machine.
On the windows 8.1 Helix the maintenance device shows under "Other Devices" instead of USB controllers. When I try to update the drive automatically or manually I receive the "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it."
I'm really just wondering if anyone has come across this issue where USB works with 7 and 10 but not 8.1. And/Or is there a fix that doesn't require the companies driver update (that doesn't exist).
