so my 1400 dollar pc with great parts that ran everything over like 100 fps has gave me a big middle finger and started running everything below 60 fps, reset my pc to factory so can't be a virus. not thinking its drivers also because of the reset, so randomly it just starts lagging and i'm now pissed off basically, any suggestions?

Update your video drivers to the most recent. Also, what are your CPU and GPU operating temperatures at idle and under load?

Could be a case of the system throttling due to excess heat. Have you cleaned the dust buildup from your rig lately?

Can we have your PC specs please? What kind of lag, a stutter here and there or low frame rate overall? Are you monitoring temps while it happens? Is there any kind of overclock on the cards? Did you manually install proper drivers after the reset? What background programs are going on when this happens? What games?

yeah, sometimes drivers don't like things, so try going back to an older version, see if that works

Intel I7 4770k 3.5 ghz - 4 ghz, gtx 770 2gb, 8 gb of ddr ram, and Z87-G41 PC MATE motherboard. The lag is straight up low fps compared to what it used to be. doubt it could be temp because of the fact it randomly started one day while i was playing. No overclock. Yes I did for the drivers. background programs are skype, steam, chrome, and such y'know the essentials. And the games are Overwatch, Rocket League, CS:GO, Arma, and Garry's mod, all ran on high with no problems whatsoever until one day during a play session i start to hear a lot of popping in my headset and Low FPS.
