I bought a motherboard and case because this is my first build but no matter how hard I press, the I/O shield won't fit inside my case all the way, it only goes in one side. This causes the motherboard to not align with the stand offs but it will without the I/O shield. I've tried to lean my case on its side where gravity is helping me but that still doesn't work.

What I'm wondering is if the I/O shield genuinely doesn't fit or if I'm still not pressing hard enough.

For my motherboard it is a: ASUS a68hm-k

My case is a: Azza SIRIUS CSAZ-206S

Some times it's pretty difficult and you have to apply a lot of power for shield to fit in and be secured. You have to install it in the case first, before installing MB.
