Hi all,

so here's my case,
i recently installed windows10, that done, i installed a few games(downloaded from torrent, so they aren't original) and all of them said, 'missing xxx.dll files'.

however yesterday, i finished downloading csgo from steam, and it worked perfectly..
and i also did the 'sfc /scannow' in Command prompt which supposed to check for missing files (i got that from Microsoft website) and all clean, no problems at all...

so i guess the torrent games had the missing files...

am i right or am i wrong?

thanks.

Generally, if windows OS or related products are missing files then the products themselves will normally either let you know or offer to download the missing files. That's fine and ok.
It would appear that your system and other installed products are operating fine and it's only the torrent software that has an issue.

However, to offer advice on how to resolve missing files in non purchased software would not be something a site like this would be keen do. Additionally, you'll appreciate that you have absolutely no control or validation of what files/collections in torrents (or any other similar source) contain. With this, the risk of downloading malicious software should be considered as significant, and that all of your defense...

i don't need help with the pirated software, my windows is original.
i need to confirm based on the test I've done, whether the windows has the missing .dll files or is it something external.
that's it.
