I am using the DSL internet connection at home. I mainly use the internet for accessing social medias. These days I am stuck at home due to some illness and I am spending quite a lot of time on the net.
I began to feel that the 6mbps speed internet that I am using is not enough now. I was wondering if I can make some tweaks on the router modem so I can speed up the internet. I am using this modem provided by the ISP. https://www.acanac.com/hardware/smart-rg-sr360n/?package=fibre It is wireless router modem.
I am not very familiar with these things, I need advice on whether speed can be improved. Please share your suggestions.

Upgrading the speed is a simple matter of the isp "turning a knob". They intentionally throttle back the speed so they can charge more. Or so said a friend who was one one the head techies at a local phone company isp.

Only if you have a decent ISP that gives a rat's rear about its customer base. Which pretty much lets out Frontier, Comcast, Brighthouse, Verizon, etc.
