HDD faster than a WD Black

Hey everyone!
Got another quick question to ask.
I know that the Western Digital Black or caviar black drives are some of the fastest hard drives you can get.

But I have a simple question...
Are there any hard drives out there that I could get that are faster than a WD black drive?
I asked a friend and he said that enterprise drives are.
(I'm not wanting an SSD since this will be used for my other storage)

The performance diffrence would be minimal. I would buy a extra TB or two for the same price as a Black edition etc. The "fastest" drives are technically the 10000RPM ones, but an SSD is just better anyway.

If you are just going to be using this drive for "other storage", why are you concerned with the speed of the drive? Get the WD Black.

Ore get 2 and RAID0 them.

It doesn't double it or close to it but does speed things up. Basically it acts as 2 or more HDDs with combined number of platters and heads. It's not safe in the manner that if one dies or gets corrupt data on both may be lost.

I've found RAID to be safe, obviously as with any drive you need to keep up to date backups. Just like a RAID any drive can die at any time, just had a WD black 750 die on me a couple months ago, just up and quit
