Hi guys,
I'm upgrading to an i5 and new GPU. It will be MSI gaming rx470 8gb or Sapphire nitro rx470 8gb but couldn't decide. What is the difference between both in terms of temperature, fan noise and performance ? This is a gaming only system and i will play only at 1080p.
(im particular with 8gb of any model and so certainly no Nvidia..Also no rx 480 8gb which is out of my budget)

I don't think there would be a whole lot of difference between the two. They're both good brands, and I can tell you personally that I have owned Sapphire cards in the past and loved them, but I would honestly just go with whichever one is cheaper.

The Sapphire seems to clock at a slightly higher speed (core 1260 as compared to 1254 on the MSI). Newegg reviews also indicate an overall better made card. My experience with neither has been positive in the past, though. Better make sure of the warranty deal.

The nitro keeps the temps lower too, it depends on your personal preference, if you don't care about costs go with the nitro as it also has a higher clock rate, if you do care about budget and want to save, go with the MSI one.

They're the same price.

At least over at newegg.
