Hello Everyone.

I have a problem with my "new" pc build.
When i had finished the computer, the screen read; No video input.
Specs:
Graficscard: Msi gtx 570 - old one but testet
CPU: i5 2500k 3,3ghz - Old one but testet(not overclocked)
Motherboard: Asrock H61M-VGA - Brand new.
Powersupply: Cooler master B500 VER.2 - 500W (brand new)
2x Samsung ddr3 ram (Old ones, but testet)

I have tried almost everything.
1. Tried to do a full diagnose with all the components. I took one piece and another and so on.
2. Tried to clear/reset cmos, but this didn't help either.

Please help, the answer might be clear for you guys but not for me.

Solution
ram not being supported by the motherboard speed can cause no post. but ur speed is fine for the motherboard. and since it worked with the cpu in the old motherboard, there wouldn't be an issue there. prob one of your new components as the others suggested above. I was just trying to make sure your using ram that would work which it looks like you are so no issue there.

H61M-VGA? Are you sure about that? I can find -VG3....

Everything appears compatible, so the issue doesn't lie there.

Do you get any signs of life? Fans spinning? LEDs illuminated etc.

Note though, any 'new; component can be defective. Things do slip through the net in QC.

I would expect it to be something relatively simple, like a missing power connector etc.

Have you followed this thread:

Everything should be in order.
i have my motherboard out of my case.
I don't think there is a onboard speaker but i got one with the case. But i can't seem to find the place to put it?

The fans work.
I have a Samsung SSD 120gb harddisk

Do you get a response without the GPU installed, using the onboard graohics?

As was stated, the PSU fall shorts of the requirements for the GPU, so that's likely the cause.
Fans spinning etc means power is getting to the system, but doesn't sound like enough to initialize the GPU properly.

Even without the GPU and just using the vga on the motherboard, nothing will come on the screen? I am almost positive that the cpu is fine?

Yes i have, there isn't anything to be seen?
Thats why i am so confused doing this build.

what is the part number on the ram? speed markings? anything that can help us id if your ram is really compatible with the motherboard. DDR3 doesn't mean it will work with any DDR3 motherboard/cpu

update (ram needs to support at least 1066mhz or 1333mhz in its profiles) as those are the two basic timings the cpu supports

It would be bad luck then.
Does my ram speed have any affect? it's speed is 1066MHz :)
