Hi there, the following problem drives me insane and i dont know how to fix it.

(Please excuse typos or bad grammar, I am german)

A few month ago i got a whole new computer setup
(CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k
Mainboard: ASUS Z170-A
these should be the only components you need to know I guess, if you need more just let me know)

Before that I was only using wireless connection to my router and everything was working just fine, but since i got my new computer that is connected through ethernet i get short disconnects in certain situations, that last for 1-30 seconds. It happens for example when I want to play League of Legends, but only while I am using the Client, when I am ingame everything works just fine and my ping is stable (about 39ms). It also happens pretty often when I am visiting pr0n sites, dont judge me <3. I didnt really notice other situations where these disconnects appear, maybe youtube sometimes but these two are the most conspicuous.

I am using windows 10 and after booting my new setup I installed the latest drivers, of course also the specific ethernet driver for my mainboard. I have a few theories what could be causing this problem but I want you guys to tell me if they are realistic.
1. My ethernet cable is pretty long but not the best quality, maybe it's causing the problem because it cant handle a lot of incoming data at once or something, idk im not an expert. (50m or something, pretty cheap, made by hama)
2. Maybe the ethernet port of my mainboard is broke.
3. Maybe the ethernet port of my router is broke.
4. Maybe the firewall...
etc. the list goes on.
I just hope the root that is causing the problem is software intern so that I can fix it with a few clicks, otherwise I would have to change hardware and so on, and good ethernet cables arent that cheap.

I really hope you guys can help me with that pain in the ass, if you need any further information to help me out, just let me know. Thanks and much love. <3

we are going to have to run a few tests to determine if the problem is with your local network or something outside of your controll.

so open command prompt and type in ipconfig then press enter. look for the IP address of your default gateway.
now we are going to run a continuous ping test, type in ping IP of default gateway -t
for example: ping 192.168.0.1 -t
let it run, you can minimize the command prompt window but don't close it.

now open lol, or your favorite pr0n site and wait until you experience the disconnect.
when the disconnect occurs go back to the command prompt window and look for dropped packets. press ctrl + c to interrupt the ping test, you will see some interesting statistics at the end, copy paste the results here

Thanks for the quick response, as you can see, I lost 7 packages while the disconnects occured.
There where about 3 dc's over 5 minutes.

Ping-Statistik für 192.168.178.1:
Pakete: Gesendet = 253, Empfangen = 246, Verloren = 7
(2% Verlust),
Ca. Zeitangaben in Millisek.:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 1ms, Mittelwert = 0ms

There you go, other cable, same problem.

Ping-Statistik für 192.168.178.1:
Pakete: Gesendet = 293, Empfangen = 274, Verloren = 19
(6% Verlust),
Ca. Zeitangaben in Millisek.:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 2ms, Mittelwert = 0ms

I also tried the same thing with both cables, same router but another computer (laptop) and the problem didnt occure. I guess it's now clear that the root of it is either in the software of my computer, or the ethernet port of my mainboard is broke, but I'm not sure what is more likely.

I looked up the manual of my Mainboard, it says there that if the orange light at the lan port is on the cable is linked if it's blinking there is data activity, etc. I waited for the disconnect to appear again and the light was off, which should be meaning that it is not linked. Does that mean that the port has a loose contact?
