What does PCI Express 6 pin mean here?

I was looking at PSU's and I was curious if this meant only the supernova P2 could use the 6 pin connector I need for my GPU, or am I missing something?

6+2 pci connector is good thing! It will fit all videocards using bouth 6 and 8 pin PCI connectors.

How expensive are Custom cables usually? It was around 120$ for red/black cables on the last website I saw for the full kit
