Hello, So I got my new GPU in which is a GTX 1080. I have in the past used a HDMI for one monitor and a DVI to VGA Adapter to connect the other monitor to my GPU but it seems my old DVI to VGA adapter doesn't work on my 1080. What do I need to allow me to connect both my monitors to my gpu. I only see one HDMI port so it seems two HDMI cables in out. They also didn't seem the a different adapter which is rare always got a new one with my GPU.

Solution
that card has a Dual-link DVI-D. so you'll need to be sure the adapter is dvi-d to vga for ti to work. i'd have to look into a bit more to be sure what models have been working. but i do recall reading about active adapters being the key and not passive ones.

without doing all the research again, i believe this is along the lines of what you need. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1UH3VU6627&cm_re=Dual-link_DVI-D_to_vga-_-12-329-296-_-Product

actually uses the display port and then offers an active conversion to a number of other outputs including vga, hdmi and such

a second option is something like this...

if you have not bought the card yet, then look at the asus cards. they are the only ones with 2 hdmi ports on them. if you already have the card, then you're gonna need a new adapter and believe it has to be an active one which means it is powered and converts the signal the way it needs to be.

I already bought the card and installed it. I went with a Gigabyte extreme gaming GTX 1080. First none EVGA I have ever got. What Adapter do I need to get?
