Single 980 for 2560x1080 gaming?

I'm.probably 5-10fps down on a 980, and I can play witcher at High (not ultra) across the board 60fps at 2560x1080. There are aress where ultra will bring the 980 into the 50s...but most of time will be fine.
Bear in mind visual difference in that game between high and ultra is quite small, so ou can knock a couple of things down if you need without seeing a visual hit.
