i've got a 20 button gaming mouse which i adore, i use it all the time expressly on wow. i never use the keyboard on wow and on alot of pc games i use a controller when possible. i need a new keyboard. but honestly is a £115 keyboard really worth it

i got the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2016 in my buy list.

Mechanical keyboards are worth it, although if individual keyboards are is questionable. Generally whether you need 5 quadrillion macro keys will depend on the games you play. For WoW I'd say having at least one column of macro keys would be useful.

Tough question to answer, I do kinda of get it, yeah keyboards can be expensive, perhaps even a little too expensive.

You are paying a premium, but alot of people find it to be a worthwhile purchase.

And finally I personally don't really like Razer products, but that's just me, and a story for another time.

I Played WoW on and off for over 10 years and was at a time in a competitive Raiding guild... I never used Macros on a keyboard... ever. My setup was

5 Button or better Mouse + Foot Pedal USB 3 button
or
Gaming pad + Mouse
or
PS3 / Xbox 360 Controller + Foot Pedal USB 3 button

Gaming keyboards are indeed nice and the expensive models are like a Porsche.. lots of Bling and adjustments but just like all keyboards they are uncomfortable for long periods of use for many of us with Carpal Tunnel.

These are decent for the price and a step up on features over a Standered board, Mechanical is generally the way to go as it takes less pressure to click a key and they last longer.

Corsair Gaming K30 ~ £50
Razer DeathStalker Essential ~ £45
Logitech G105 ~ £36
CM Storm Devastator ~ £27
BlueFinger Adjustable Crack Backlit LED Gaming Keyboard ~ £25

Over the 15 years I ran my Shop I sold and built quite a few PC's with high end gaming keyboards, none of them really ever sparked my interest enough to pay top dollar for one. I would understand the need for someone that is a heavy gamer and uses only the keyboard but for a light user it seems like a bit of a waste, in this case it would be more for the bling factor and less for the actually utility of the board.
