Hey everyone, thanks in advance for your help as always.
After upgrading my main computer, the leftovers are trickling down and Im converting my htpc build to a gaming rig.
Current set up:
a8-7650k
Zalman CNPS80F CPU Cooler
MSI A68HM-GRENADE Motherboard
PowerColor Radeon R9 290X
EVGA 700W Power Supply
Ive heard that the AMD apu chips benefit from faster ram. Im pretty sure this only applies to onboard graphics.
I currently have 8gb of 1600 ram in the computer, but frys has a sale right now for 8gb of 2400 ram that has me tempted.
will the switch from 1600 to 2400 be noticble? can my cpu/mobo even handle the faster ram?
the ram is $27 bucks today... tempting
thanks!
