What's the best graphics card i can buy for this motherboard?

There is no "best GPU for a MOBO", not at least with recents motherboards, as they all have PCI-E slots, which is what GPUs uses.
What can be asked like that is "best CPU for a MOBO" since each mobo has a unique Socket for a series of CPUs, that way one CPU may work in one mobo but may not work on another.
Therefore, you can even get a GTX TITAN, or GTX 1080 and it would still work properly on that mobo, only thing to be warry of is your PSU, that may not hold those great GPUs.
Aside from that, you're good to go with whatever GPU.

Well... you can use any modern GPU, however you are limited by the fact that your MOBO only supports PCI-E v2.0, so any new card will be bottlenecked by your MOBO.
If you cant upgrade to a new system, just find a card in the $100 range and youl be good to go to play modern games at medium resolution. That will hold you over until you can afford a new system

I currently have a GeForce GT 620 1gb, and when i go into CPU-Z and check in the memory box it says "Type DDR3". Maybe it doesnt matter?

No, not when we're talking about GPUs tho
DDR3 or 4 is for RAM, GPUs uses GDDRx ( x being 5, in most cases ). They are complety (almost) different types of memory and don't work very alike so no there's no reason to compare both. Don't worry,
and about the claim that @snurp85 made:
It is true, recent GPUs have 3.0 PCIE, but those have backward compatibility, so whatever came before 3.0 will still work properly. The bottleneck made would be minimal as the speed between 2.0 and 3.0 isn't big. So you can rest easy with that too.

Okay, thanks very much! Do you have any tips for a cpu that works good with a gtx 750 ti 1gb? I currently have a Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66 ghz. I would like to upgrade that aswell!

A gtx1080 at x8 won't use all the available bandwidth in pcie 2.0, a pascal titan X will, just. You'll only see bandwidth bottlenecking when using the wrong card on the wrong motherboard. Like using 2x 1080 on a low grade board that only supports x16/x4, not x8/x8.
There are quite a few gpus that use DDR3 as vram, GDDR3/5 is different, faster, more expensive.
Backwards compatability for AMD gpus only goes back as far as pcie 2.1,after which the power delivery system was changed, and adopted by Amd. Nvidia implemented a hybrid style, so effects either before or after pcie 2.1 and is compatible from pcie 3.0 back to pcie 1.1. Pcie 1.0 was totally different requiring a standalone card for that version only.
As far as cpu, that depends on the chipset. Some chipsets on some motherboards were limited as to what cpu they'd accept
