hello all. i have a Dell Precision T7500 single CPU (Xeon dual-core, i think E5503?) workstation that came new with (4) 1 GB sticks of PC3-10600 RAM in slots 1, 2, 3, and 4. i ordered (3) PC3-10600 8 GB sticks. i installed them in slots 1, 2, and 3. and it hangs at post. no beeps or anything. i removed 2 of the sticks and left 1 8 GB stick in DIMM 1 and rebooted and it boots up fine. i am going to add the 2nd one and try again but wanted to get clarification from somebody here that i am using the right slots? the only documentaion i found says to use DIMM 1, 2, and 3 if using 3 sticks? those are the 3 with the white tabs

P.S.-host OS is Server 2008 R2 64-bit

update!!!!------i added the 2nd 8 GB stick in slot 4 and it boots up. so current config is 8 GB in slot 1 (white tabs) and 8 GB in slot 4 (black tabs)

thanks!
