Hi Folks,
I recently purchased a Dell PowerEdge T130 server for home use and would like to modify it. The main specs are as follows:
Intel Xeon E3-1225 v5 CPU
8GB ECC Memory
FreeNAS OS mounted on a USB drive
DVD ROM
4 Available 3.5" Drive Bays
I would like to modify the setup to be able to add extra drives (preferrably 4 more). There is room in the case. However I am not sure if there are available SATA ports. I think the bigger issue is that I would have to change the Power Supply as well to power the extra HDDs (It appears the server has a proprietary Power Supply).
I don't know a whole lot about computer builds, just enough to be dangerous, and would like to get some help on how to make the above happen. In short:
1) Which Power Supply should I get that would be compatible with the setup?
2) How do I add more HDDs to the system?
