I have a Intel Core i7 4690k CPU and i currently have a Nvidia GTX 970 GPU.

My monitor has freesync and only AMD GPU's support it. I'm just wondering if for my next GPU, will having an Intel CPU and AMD GPU work together or will there be any conflicts? I'm just wanting to use my monitor to it's full potential.

Thank you bro's :)

No issues at all will be fine. That being said, wait until the new AMD Vega GPUs come out.
None of AMDs polaris line is worth upgrading from a GTX 970. And their high performance previous gen stuff like the Fury and Fury X are really power hungry and don't see that much performance increase. If considering something right now, you would be better off with a GTX 1070 or something.
