USB file transfer

I am having trouble transferring files to flash drive or sd card using usb. If it is less that 1GB it will transfer but larger files will start to transfer but when it gets to like 15% the speed meter will go to zero and usually pop up with an error that something went wrong and then I cant access the flash drive or sd card unless I disconnect it. I tried to make a bootable usb drive with windows 10 and it fails. When I tried to update my gps the same thing it wil get about half way through and sit there.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's very helpful if we knew of your full system's specs. If not, we're left guessing for a solution and hope that it works. Didn't mean to be rude though since your issue can be anywhere from having malware, not having the right drivers or even having the wrong files for transfer.

ram: 4 GB
HDD: 110 GB no idea who made it
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6450
OS: Windows 10 x64
PSU: Rosewill extremerx850-s-b

Its probably just time to build a new one this one is like 10 years old
